At the Canadian International School of Hefei (CISH), inclusion and international-mindedness are at the heart of our culture. One of the strongest reflections of this commitment is CISH’s comprehensive and continuous German programme, ranging from Early Years through to the IB Diploma Programme. As a member of the PASCH network in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute, our seven dedicated full-time German teachers and daily lessons for native speakers, students receive consistent, high-quality language instruction, including German Language A at Higher Level. 

Our curriculum combines the IB and New Brunswick frameworks with key elements of the German school system, ensuring smooth transitions both when families arrive in Hefei and when they return to Germany. Through the IB MYP eAssessment, students can earn the Erweiterter Sekundarabschluss I.
