CISH English as the Language of Instruction

All students at CISH must use English as the primary language for instruction and learning.  In order to be successful in the CISH academic program, it is essential that students build their English Language skills.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) Program

Additional support for students who are beginning English learners is provided through our EAL program.  Details on how the EAL program operates can be obtained through the EAL Department Head (for PYP) or Language Acquisition Department Head (for MYP).  There is an additional fee should a student require EAL support.

Students in Grade 6 and above are expected to have a relatively high level of English language ability in order to be successful in the rigorous academic program offered at CISH.
