High school (G9 - G12) is a critical phase of personal and intellectual development, and the DP enables students to participate actively and responsibly in a changing and increasingly interconnected world. Through the unique CAS, TOK, and EE core courses, students gain valuable experience with academic writing, as well as real-life experience helping others locally, nationally, and globally.
At CISH, we proudly offer a wide array of DP courses tailored to meet the needs of students from all backgrounds. To earn the prestigious IB Diploma, students are required to complete six courses across different subject areas over two years, with at least three courses taken at the higher level. In addition to these subjects, students must also complete three core components essential to the DP: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).
• Theory of Knowledge (TOK) encourages students to critically evaluate their perspectives and understand the role of knowledge in shaping their worldviews.
• The Extended Essay (EE) is an independent research project that allows students to explore topics of personal interest in depth, fostering skills in analysis, synthesis, and academic writing.
• Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) takes learning beyond the classroom, encouraging students to engage with real-world issues and contribute to their community through creative and service-oriented activities.
CISH is proud to offer a diverse range of courses tailored to meet the needs of our student population. The following courses are available for study:
